Encouragement is a dangerous thing… but you seem to have had some fun and games with the Great Sibelian Beards, so here is another from the same stable.
The title ‘Faceless Sibelians’ does not in any way imply mediocrity or anonymity – well, perhaps temporary anonymity, in that the faces of the people in question have been disguised. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is simply to put a name to a… well, grey area!
This time, out of badness, I have included one famous ‘face’ who has nothing at all to do with Sibelius, but is merely there to confuse and confound.
So… six of the best (or five of the best and one other)?

Fancy this: I know none of them, but is #4 Busoni? |

Well, I'm sure you'll kick yourself when I post the answers - especially one of them - but I'll need to let the others have a guess before I uncloak the dark secrets of the grey areas… in a few days all will be revealed… _________________

I think World Violist must mean #5 as being Busoni, that's my guess as well.
Here goes:
1) Aino Sibelius
2) Barbirolli
3) Ex-President George W.
4) Paavo Berglund
5) Busoni
6) Järnefelt _________________

1- Aino Sibelius
2-
3- George W Bush
4- Paavo Berglund
5- Busoni
6- Stenhammar
I am only confident of No.1, No.2 looks familier, can't quite place it.-kp _________________ Peter Frankland |

ACH! I thought I saw George W!!! He is only there to confound... haha. Too true.
I kicked myself for each answer Kurki gave... ugh. That was mortifying.
And yes, I did mean #5 as my guess for Busoni. The penultimate one; I suppose I just assumed there were five again. My mistake. |

Actually, I don't think #2 is Barbirolli... his hair never got that white. I don't know who it is, though (I don't know what Erik Tawaststjerna looked like anyway...). |

Nice!
Thanks for doing these, Andrew B and I also commend your work on the clipping of the beards and the blurring of the faces, that type of thing is rather time consuming... |
