Using storyboards for the aborted Swan sequence that was set to appear in Disney's 1940 masterpiece Fantasia, we have a reconstruction of what the sequence could have looked like. There is truly some great artwork here, which, if I may say, captures the mood of the work perfectly.

The boat cruising down the lake looks awfully "Viking" though, which is obviously not of the Kalevala tradition, but Nordic myth is Nordic myth, right?
