Christmas is nearly upon us and in this season of good cheer, how about getting hold of Sibelius's Five Christmas Songs. opus 1
compiled in 1915 from carols composed between 1895-1909. The first 'Give me no splendour, gold or pomp' [1909] has become one of the best loved christmas carols in Finland.
